Galong is located 50 klms north of Yass and 21 klms south of Harden, and lies 2 klms to the east of the Burley Griffin Way. St Clement's Retreat and Conference Centre is a further 5klms on from the village. Allow 40 minutes travelling time from Yass.

By road
Eighteen klms north of Yass (and thirteen klms on from the Yass Service Centre) on the Hume Highway turn right into the Harden exit on Burley Griffin Way (State Route 94), which has been re-routed around Bowning. Drive on through Binalong and for a further 10 klms towards Harden to the Bouyeo - Galong crossroad. Take the right hand turn to Galong. If travelling from Melbourne along the Hume Highway, exit 10 klms north of Yass at Bowning and follow the above directions. In Galong follow the signs marked Monastery and/or Retreat Centre. Allow a minute or two to download illustrated directions.

Buses
A daily service leaves from the Jolimont Centre, Canberra at 10.05am, arriving at Galong village, 5klms from St Clement's Monastery at 11.40am. An afternoon service leaves Galong at 2.30pm and arrives at the Jolimont Centre, Canberra at 4.15pm. Confirm times, fares and bookings with Fearnes Coaches on 1800 029918 or Countrylink on 132 232. Prior arrangment for transport to the centre can be made by telephone on 6380 5222.

By train from Sydney
The XPT arrives at Harden (the nearest station) at 12.15 pm. Prior arrangements can be made to be met at the Station and driven
to St Clement's at a cost of $10.00 per person. The return Sydney train leaves Harden at 3.10pm arriving in Sydney at 7.55pm. Telephone St Clement's in advance on 6380 5222 to arrange transport.

By train from Melbourne
Book ticket & luggage to Galong (not Harden). The XPT arrives at Cootamundra at 2.40pm where the Canberra-Yass Transborder bus meets the train and brings you to Galong village where with prior arrangement on 6380 5222, staff will meet and drive you to St Clement's.

Important: The organisers cannot arrange transport for participants however St Clement's staff will meet trains in Harden and buses in Galong - provided they have sufficient advance notice. Please telephone St Clement's on 6380 5222 to arrange transport.
